Can you believe there is love that is illegal

sometimes our bones ache for people that won’t ever know and even though your skin flushes white when you think about them it’s kind of comforting to know there’s things out there that make your organs feel alive. things come and go and things die and if they don’t die, they were never alive in the first place. I know you have a heart and yours is hiding because it’s scared, don’t be scared. remember the starry sky has problems of its own and it knows you’re hurting i know you’re hurting and it’s the kind of pain your doctor didn’t tell you about and the only ibuprofen there is for heartbreak is sometimes crying until you have the oceans in your palms and you’ll be laying on your kitchen floor until you realize you need to vacuum anyway. love gives us headaches, it makes our veins fill a little too fast and sometimes people haunt us even though they know were afraid of ghosts and I see him everywhere (don’t you see him everywhere too?) and I don’t sleep well so I have to pretend this crooked smile is because I stayed up late studying (not thinking of ways to get over him). your hands are fragile and maybe it’s because you don’t have anyone to protect them right now but it will teach you to fend for yourself and I know you can do it you’re a strong girl and next time you feel alone just remember you’re filled with tragic galaxies of stardust and melancholy and someday someone is going to fall in love with every inch of it
